Job Description: Front Line Employee (FLE)

Reports to: Site Supervisor and/or Area Manager

Objective – Janitor:

A Janitor is a professional who is a vital part of any business. They are responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy facility by completing various tasks. This can include mopping & vacuuming floors, disinfecting surfaces and restrooms and emptying trash and recycle cans. As work schedule allows, this position may be required to fill in as a Room Attendant.

Objective – Room Attendant:

Room attendants are responsible for cleaning and servicing guest rooms in order to provide a pleasant and comfortable experience for guests. They ensure that all rooms are inviting and clean and they address all guest queries politely and knowledgeably.  As work schedule allows, this position may be required to fill in as a Janitor.

Objective – Project Attendant:

A Project Attendant is responsible for the periodic or project type of cleaning. Project type of work includes but is not limited to floor care (strip/wax, polish, burnish, detail clean, pressure wash and or extract/encap), window cleaning and all other tasks as assigned.  As work schedule allows, this position may be required to fill in as a Janitor and or Room Attendant.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)
  • Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
  • Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
  • Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
  • Stock and maintain supply rooms
  • Cooperate with the rest of the staff
  • Follow all health and safety regulations

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven working experience as a Janitor, room attendant or project attendant (as applicable)
  • Ability to handle (or ability to learn) heavy equipment and machinery
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
  • Integrity and ability to work independently
  • Ability to use Android/Apple based applications to view schedules and for timekeeping purposes
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Attending meetings and in-service training sessions as required.
  • Performing all janitorial duties.
  • Other duties as directed by the Site Manager, Area Manager, General Manager or President

Compensation – Front Line Employee:

  • Wage type – Hourly
  • Staring base wage is $20.00 per hour, increases are available as experience and job performance allows
